Despite the sad news we learned of yesterday, two very happy things are happening in the near future. A week from today, one friend is due to be welcoming her baby girl into this world. And less than a month from now, I’ll be celebrating the impending arrival of my other friend’s baby girl. The only word that can express how I feel about this is: joyful.

So in a hurried dash to get to the hospital yesterday my husband packed my bag while I was in bed. We were in such a rush we forgot to bring to cord blood kit duhh. But I’m back at hone, on bed rest and looking for any tips people think would make the hospital experience less traumatic.
